[pyrnet] RE: CHAT
Michele- how wonderful to be getting a new puppy!! After
you forwarded the "horror" story to your husband at work,
that fact that he STILL wants this big fabulous dog is
pretty amazing. :)Good luck with the puppy.

Subject: [pyrnet] OK everyone I have to say this...
Thankyou!!! you know, every second that passes feels like an
hour while I
wait for my Pup! She was due home here on Sunday. Nov.,
18th. When last I
spoke to the owners they wished everyone who is getting one
of her pups was
as happy and excited as I am. She offered to let us pick her
up a day early!
I was just thrilled! My children 5 & 7yrs., old , know
nothing at all about
this! (good heavens, I can't supress my own excitement, much
less the
giddyness of 2 small children having to wait for 2 weeks!)
My husband has
allergies, particularly to nuts and dogs (not nessicarily in
that order!)
and he told me he would resume his allergy
treatments(shots)so I could
realize my dream of owning a Great Pyrenees. I steadfastly
refused. Why on
earth would I do that?? He laughed and said " do you think
"more" hair in
this house will really matter? (my daughter and I both have
bum length
blonde hair, that also infiltrates everything!) Besides he
said" I started
them last week. ok, I cried.
finding this group has meant the world. Your dedication to
your animals and
each other is heartwarming! Right from the beginning, (a
whole whopping
week-and-a-half now!!) you have been here to answer my
questions, put up
with my computer asking for "read recipts" and make me
laugh, and I thank
you for that!
i couldn't believe this morning, disccusing the spelling
of
"discombobulate" :) , reading the other posts dealing with
children and
adoptions...people replying to me (obviously amused!) about
the "fiasco"
Grandad went thru with his Newf.! Some of the stories were
just too funny to
even re-tell them to my husband,...I just guided him to the
study and had
him read them himself!!.. The burying of the feed bowls
sent him, (holding
his sides laughing) somewhere just AWAY from the computer
screen, mumbling
something about me trying to send him to an early grave! The
story of the 2
pyrs this morning, the cats and the turtles....well,
needless to say I
forwarded that post to my husband at work and an hour later
he called and
asked that I NEVER do that AGAIN! Evidently he has a
significant amount of
work needing to be done, and since everyone needed to know
what was so
funny....he showed them! I guess it took a while to get
everyone settled
again!
So thankyou...you are an amazing lot. My Mom & I just found
out that there
is nothing else they can do rid her body of cancer. She
lives thousands of
miles away, and having just lost another airline in Canada
to bankruptcy
getting home to her is looking complicated. I have been on
such an
emotional roller coaster lately...and you can only imagine
how much I needed
to find people like you. Thankyou. ps only 4 days and 1 hour
and Houston, we
have a puppy!
