anyone have a cute Pyr story to share? <G>

Well, it really isn't a PYR story so to speak -- I supervise a unit of 10 folks who license child care agencies. Our sister unit's supervisor left for the big lights of a jog title, "Coordinator of Government Affairs" for another agency so that left me with his 7 folks to supervise as well. We have started a new quality improvement program in which we grant stars for those agencies who provide higher quality child care -- so it's a learning process for all. I was working with one of his folks in how to fill out the new forms. She started to mark a box on the form that wasn't correct and before I knew it, out came a big ole' "aaaccckk!" from my belly..you know, the sound we make when we want to stop an unacceptable behavior quickly -- she startled and jerked back her pen..I, of course apologized, explaining, it's a bad habit I have from living with so many animals. She seemed to forgive me, and in a minute or two started to check the wrong box again  -- "aaaaaacccccckkkk!!!" involuntarily came out once more...."Oh, geeze, please forgive me --  that's the sound I use when I am trying to get my animals to stop a bad behavior quickly -- you know, I have no human children." After a second or two during which she regained her composure and stopped trembling, she smiled a little crookedly and said, "And I'll bet they are all very well behaved!"  Bear is far less sensitive and more accepting of my idiosyncrasies. It really is very hard for petless folks to understand, isn't it?
