Re: [pyrnet] Vacuum Cleaners?

Bonnie,
I was the one who had asked about this a few weeks back. I researched
Consumer Reports also and was surprised to find that the really expensive
ones...like Kirby, Oreck and Electrolux, were rated in the middle to the
bottom of the list for everything. I debated between the Hoovers and
Kenmores, and bagless vs. bags and ended up after visits to several stores
and lots of discussion with salespeople, getting a Kenmore Progressive that
uses bags. I was told by several salespeople that for people without dogs
the bagless are nice but for people with long-haired dogs the hair can
create lots of static cling and make it difficult to empty the chamber (plus
you have to do it very often!). Some bagless are easier than others in this
respect, according to them, but they felt that with my situation I'd be
happier with one with a bag. So, that's what I have and so far I'm very
happy with it!
