Rhonda,this could be ringworm,
I would not touch the spot with my bare fingers It is
infectious.
Anywhere else it would be easy
to treat with 5 percent iodine in the form of a spray, so you don't have to
touch it.But close to the eye, I wouldn't use iodine. If Newman develops
other places, spray them four or five times a day until they go away, a week or
so. If it is ringworm, other animals can also get it.
There is no certainty that it
is ringworm, but precautions never hurt.
Hermit in the Woods.where Newman would have
lots of fun.

Subject: [pyrnet] Question
Newman seems to have a bit of an eye irritation in one eye. Although
it doesn't seem swollen or overly red, nor does it SEEM to be "weepy", the
area under it is developing a patchy, dark look, as if from tearing. Has
anyone else's Pyr developed this and what can I do about it?
I'm sorry that I can't help
with this. I've not noticed either of mine having the same
condition. Good luck, take care and
