It is not
abnormal. Some Color or even a lot of color in the mouth is
fine.
Look in the roof of the mouth. If you are lucky it will be very
black.
Joe, why do you say, "If you are lucky..."? Is this a good
thing? <grin> Newman's skin looks like he's part Appaloosa. The
roof of his mouth is VERY spotted, his tummy is spotted, as are the pads
of his feet...and he has the CUTEST itty bitty spots just above his
nose. :-)
We went through
pure hell trying to trim Gus'
nails (especially the dew claws). Patience
patience patience. He now lets us touch his nails
without pulling away. I think his previous owners
were a little rough on him!
A friend told me to take every opportunity just to sit and hold his
feet...not doing anything to them, but just holding them and rewarding
him when he didn't try to pull away. I'll try that between now and the
next time he's due for a trim.

who haven't got the
guts to bite people
themselves."

ROFL! Love it! But sometimes I think I'd be more likely to
bite someone than Newman. He's such a love.
