Joe,
Thanks! It's good to know that there is a change from puppy to adult
coat. My husband says he'd be perfectly happy if Newman's coat stayed
exactly like it is...and it WOULD be easier to keep, but I just love the
thick white coats, and don't really mind the grooming. I do a lot of it
while watching tv. Newman likes to lay half in my lap while I comb
him--although he also likes to play "catch the brush", which
makes it a bit difficult!
Barb,
Thanks for the info on the spray on stuff to clean their coats. I think
I'll try some. I need to get to PetSmart for some Bitter Apple anyway, so
I'll look for it. It would be nice to just spot clean the "grungy
parts". But CHALK powder? That sounds horribly
messy!
I'm curious, too, about if anyone has any hints on how to train them to
let you trim their nails, or trim the hair on the feet without having to
wrestle them. Any ideas, or is it a hopeless task best left to groomers?
I never did teach Madison to put up with it well, but she weighed 30 lbs
full grown, so it wasn't as much of an issue.
