I would want to introduce your pyr to the puppy on neutral territory prior
to bringing the pup home. We have brought two adults and one 15-month
puppy into our household when we've had a bereaved pyr, with no problem at
all. We've introduced them somewhere other than at home, and have given
the long-term pyr lots of attention, and time to adjust to a new family
member--Paddington continued to grieve for Shelley for almost a month and
would have nothing to do with Ivy Rose during that time, but he never
attempted to harm her; Ivy had two weeks in a kennel with Tori before we
brought them home together, and they've been fine.
