[pyrnet] bad ear smell; looks clean

Hi,
My 18 month old pyr has all of a sudden developed an awful ear odor.  When I
look in them, they appear exceptionally clean compared to my other dogs.  I
see no traces of anything.  The smell is actually smelly up small rooms when
she is in them.  Is there some type of ear wash I can do or is this better
left up to a vet.  

She does shake them every now and then, but doesn't really seem bothered by
them.
