[pyrnet] Re:Q

I have some questions about the Great Pyrenees guarding instinct in
relationship to their tendancy to roam.
It has always bothered me that our gurad dog when given the opportunity,
will stop guarding our family and go roaming. Do they think they are
guarding a larger area? Does anyone have any insight into this?

I also have a question for those pyrenees owners living in hot climates.

What do you do about their fur? On country property it is hard to keep the
fur from matting and when it does it doesn't breathe for them. We've trimmed
our dog and they seemed much happier- we just made sure it wasn't so short
that they could get sunburned.
