Actually, it wasn't that long.   Our first foster was a two year old female
that was dog aggressive.  While we had plenty of homes that would have been
suitable, they all had another dog.  Babe was fine outside her property,
but she was highly territorial.  After 11 months we found the perfect home
for her.  When we took her there, she immediately made herself at home, and
wasn't at all upset when we left.  Funny, we weren't upset about leaving
her, because we knew the home was a loving one.
