Re: [pyrnet] Re: pyrnet-l-digest.20010613
I wonder, about the children of these adults (who choose to leave their
animals...and I'm refering to times when there is a choice...)
I'm old enough to understand that some terrible things can happen, yet I
keep finding myself lately still agonizing over the visions of helpless
animals left behind...
What does it do to a child, when the parent leaves the animals as if they
were nothing? Kids have such a capacity for love and compassion, I can't
imagine they are unaffected. Not to mention it teaches them that animals
don't count, if their parents have those values..
You would at least think the parents would be concerned about what the loss
could do to their kids..
(again, not in a situation like Texas where many people barely had time to
save themselves...but where there is some warning...)
