I guess we should IQ test the person stupid enough to get bitten like this.
My attempt at being cute probably was poor, but your question is a good one.
When is a bite allowed when the dog is working?  Part of the answer is the
dog itself.  Is it a reliable dog?  Is it a fear biter?  I will always back a
reliable dog.  A fear biter I probably would not have one working somewhere
that people could just come up, but say one like the bitch that came in
pregnant in the other post.  I would not put her in a position where some
idiot could get hurt.  This is a grey area in my mind.  If I am not home and
the dog is in charge and someone puts their arm in the fence with a large and
I have to presume vigorously barking dog, they are wrong.  Society will give
me problems about it and the local municipality will probably as well.  I
would always suspect that the person who got bitten had some other activity
in mind.

Lets hear what other think.
