Re: [pyrnet] Re: Bonbelle

Hi Bonnie,

Over here the dogs I have, have different coats at different times of the
year and depending of their age. No matter which lines they are from.
First they change from puppy coat to adult coat in the first year. Some of
them have a shorter coat for some time some not.
Also the time of the year is important, they shed twice, in the spring and
in autumn. And they are not from lines which are especially breeding towards
extensive coats.
Bitches after been in season are changing coat too.

On some of the pictures you saw of Tambel he was about 5 month he just
started to get his new coat and others he was a little wet from splashing in
the water.
BTW Tambel is 3/4 French and 1/4 American, as his grandsire is Ch. Kaskadian
Idyll Gossip.

| Thank you Urs for the pictures but I have a question--I noticed that
| Tambel really didn't have much of a coat in some of his pictures--is
| this true of only French backgrounds? I just wondered because I've seen
| other pictures where the dogs don't have a very good coat at an early
| age and just wondered if this is the heritage of certain dogs or is it
| time of the year when the picture was taken or what
