Thanks Linda for the information about the excellent work being done by the
West Coast Pyr clubs. I think my point was about Bonbelle and not any other
dogs that have some contemporary French Blood. The facts will always speak
for themselves. Bonbelle's record will as well, and it is hard to deny,
n'est pas.
Actually your post is illustrative of what I had said. So while I will
always recognize what you have to say, I will continue to have my opinions
and observations. If you interpreted my remarks as denegrating of anyone, it
would be only those who had unnecessarily denigrated what I always
considered a very decent bitch. I am comfortable that history will be on my
side. Why would we not celebrate the achievement of a dog who has lived to
see 14 years who is classical Comte de Foix breeding, who has produced
excellent get who have gone on to produce several generations of excellent
get? A bitch who is the first Pyr since Mary Crane imported some French
Champions in the 1930's that went on to AKC Championships to do the same. A
bitch who won what is equivalent to Winners bitch at specialties on two
continents. Sainthood is a sarcastic exaggeration of the adulation Bonbelle
is due from some of us. It might be nice to let the old girl have her fair
due. She has certainly earned it.
