I use Bag Balm for sore, cracked pads - which we don't have a problem with 
here in South Florida (I never walk them on hot concrete in the heat of the 
day).  Bobo occasionally get cracklies on his big clown nose (right where it 
meets the flesh of his snout - what's that all about?)  I have found that 
just one application of Bag Balm is all it takes to heal that, too.  You can 
find it in horse supply stores and NE Serum carries it along with alot of the 
other catalogs.  It is always in my ever-growing first aid kit for the 
woobies.
