Hi Thea Double Dews are standard for the Pyr's.This guy had a big mouth and apperently has no Idea what makes a pyr different from a Boxer.Im surprised he didint say your Pry was a white Newfi or St Bernard.

I was in Petsmart yesterday getting a new toy for my dog. I had him in there with me and my son and people were coming up to pet him and love on him and we were all enjoying a nice moment when this guy blurts out ..."your dog was in-bred". I asked what he meant by that. He stated that my dog has double dew claws and that meant in-breeding. I felt embarrassed by the way he spoke it (I don't know why that would have embarrassed me but it did...anyway). He said he bred boxers...my thought was (keep to your boxers dude). I certainly didn't take his word for it...but it did get me to wondering. I love my dog no matter what and tried to be careful of the breeder when choosing him. I've never seen dew claws on dogs before I got Max and I'm wondering...are there suppose to be two nails or just one on the dew claws? (spelling?)
Just wondering.....
