I've had both.  The gentle leader is much better!  I don't know what your
other dog is, but the halti crosses the part of the face on my wolfhound
where there is a gland and caused swelling.  It has happened to several
people I know.  The gentle leader is better made and more comfortable for
them.

Personally I don't like the idea of a pinch collar after seeing the way
my wolfhound just cried and lay on the floor until after the saleswoman
removed it from him.  Yes, I know this is a Pyr list.  My vet suggested
that if it was used, putting rubber tips over the prongs to avoid the
possibility of doing any harm.

One dog at a time, I find a plain slip collar to be adequate.  Both
together, Wolfhound and Pyr, nothing works :)
