[pyrnet] RE:
Allison,
I have the same heat factor problem as you. In Dallas it is still so hot
that the dogs stay in the house during the day. Last night about 11:00 pm
Max was barking, barking, barking, I had to get up b/c he was keeping
everyone up. I was trying to figure out why last night was any different
than the others...then I remembered. I turned the box fan off. He lays in
our kitchen or the den at night in front of a fan...he really likes it. The
fan drowns out the barking dog next door that Max likes to "talk" to at
night. Drowns out other sounds as well. He went right off to sleep and so
did I.......zzzzzzzz

It's been in the upper 90s and low 100s in northeast Kansas for over a week
now, which means that 1-year-old Rosie has not been able to get as much
exercise as usual. She has been taking this out on her already worn out
family by barking at night, which she normally does not do. Does anyone have
any shorttermm solutions to help her stop barking until the heat breaks? She
has a walk in the morning, and she is used to another walk in the evening,
but as it has been in the upper 90s even at 10 p.m., this just hasn't been
possible. She has toys, chews, etc, that don't occupy her.
Thank you,
Alison Watkins
