Well, Cindy, my Mama always told me "you catch more flies with
honey than you do with vinegar." It's taken me probably 42 of my
43 years to learn this, but I've finally done so, more or less.
The other part of that email was a bit more to the point, but
just as calm (I hope). In a discussion on something as important
as spay/neuter agreements and spaying and neutering working dogs,
it is extremely important to make your points in a clear and
concise way. Seemingly unemotional. Especially when speaking to
the unconverted. If there is even a small hint of emotion or
weakness in your words, they pounce!
