We find this to be quite true.  Even Tanuki, who is out with our goats full 
time stays remarkably clean with thorough brushings.  (That is as long as he 
doesn't decide to go and roll in goat poop <VBG>.  Then we have a new variety 
of Pyr colour -- white with lovely green spots.)
