Can you clarify this? What bigger picture?

For the record, I have no plans to euthanize Tessa (who went to the vet today 
for a checkup, by the way). I still don't have a sense of what is going on 
with her and I don't believe that anyone is in imminent danger from her so 
long as I do my part. Plus, I love her.
