Hi,

Boy they can be possessive can't they.............

When you give treats, and the possibility of cats being around is high - try
this. 

Place your boy on a short  lead with a choke collar before any treats. Make
him "perform", sit, etc. Then give him a treat. If he attempts to chase a
cat or even growls at a cat in this process, yank on his lead. If you can
still throw him off balance, do it. Be very alpha. If he refuses to calm
down - crate him.  Also, place him at the very bottom of the food chain - he
eats last, and is not even allowed to see you eat.
