We raised bees for many years.  They are fascinating.  Only once did a Pyr
get stung--she quit snapping at the bees after that.  Do keep the
antihistamines on hand, Benadryl for example.  Talk to your vet.  Since bees
will fly a good quarter mile, I hope they have a large place if they expect
the bees to remain in the alfalfa and echinacea.  If you have friends who
are afraid or allergic to bees, keep the blue and purple flowers away from
your home (bees like blue first), and entertain outside at dusk and later
when the bees have gone to bed
