Having (as probably most here) raised kids and dogs together, my response to
a snap was to determine who started it.  (tough enough among kids
sometimes).  If it was the dog, the dog was disciplined.  If it was the kid
he got it.  ("Well, you shouldn't have pulled his tail.  You got just what
you deserved.")  Around my house, the kids in the pack raised more ruckus
than the dogs ever dreamed of.  No fatalities either way.

.(big snip) . . . or dogs.  Yes, most dogs will just leave, some turn and
snap in what is proper corrective behavior dog to dog.....and boy don't the
