[PyrNet-L] Happy Saint Patricks Day!!
A very Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all those of Irish Descent around the
world. "May your Guiness never go off" as my Grandad used to say or "long
may your lum reek"!! (Sorry ,that's St Andrews day!!) . I had a visit from
Mr Green today!! He cuts my hedges and prunes my shrubs. ( I pay to keep
the mad chainsaw man away from them). Mr Green was intrigued with my
elderly azaleas today. He wanted to know had I ever thought of "cleaning
the wood" on them, he thought they looked a bit unwell. On closer
inspection I showed Mr Green what was on the wood. It was Pyrenean fur!!
So my 40 year old azaleas are not diseased just warm!! With winter coming
it's good to know they will be protected from the cold.
I "celebrated" St Pats day with some Irish music on the CD player and I
kept popping through the "hole in the wall" wardrobe singing " Are you right
there Michael, are you right" until I was threatened with the chainsaw being
brought back in again. I tried to dye the bottle of Port green and then
thought I might put the clogs on and do a wee jig up State Highway 2 but
Ronda wasn't here and it's no fun on your own. Puffin and I did "Step in
the Gaily" around the room and were warned about the old floorboards and how
hard it would be to replace them so that came to an end. Anyway all the
best for St Paddy's day and "Long may your Lum Reek" no matter where you
are!! ( translated means "long may your chimney smoke!) Hopefully upward
and outward?
