Last summer about 8 weeks after having been in season, we had Blossom
then 4, spayed.  Between the combination of post heat blow and the
anesthetic, she blew so much coat she looked like a "white" lab.  She
even lost hair on her tail.

Even knowing how much hair they can lose while blowing and then the
added effects of the anesthetic, I was often "shocked" by her
appearance.  I'm sure had she been my first Pyr I would have been
panicing and rushing her off to the vet.

Being a spinner I no longer look at the seasonal "blows" in a sad or
negative way.  It has simply become "harvest time"...... more hair to
spin. <g>
