Hello Elaine! I use a nylon choke on my boy Beau. I found that the chain
type damaged his coat. It sawed off the hair in a circle around his neck.
Boy! Did he look funky for awhile! LOL! My obedience trainer said the proper
way to ensure a good fit is to measure around the base of the dogs neck. Add
two inches and you have your collar size. Hope this helps.
