The blue-eyed pups come (as best we can tell) from a blue-Grey merle gene.
It crops up occasionally in lines that carry a Grey (rather than brown)
markings.  They turn (as Kerry says), wolf yellow.  As I have never heard of
blue-eyed (yellow-eyed) dog being bred, I don't know if it is a simple
recessive gene.  Anywho--the pups will make fine working dogs and should be
spayed or neutered.  There is nothing else wrong with them.
