I know, Barb, I had to figure out how to do it again.  It is just a matter
of setting your computer from reading two digits to four.  The other thing
you want to do is download any "patches" from your program sources (like
Quicken and Microsoft.)
To change the numbers: go to "start"
then up to "settings"
then to "control panel"
then "regional settings"
then "date"
then see that the "Long date style" shows.
MMMM dd yyyy
It might be a hoax, but tiz worth a try.
