Re: RE: [PyrNet-L] Hello -Reply (kinda long)

I've noticed that with children when i take Maya out for a walk also. her
size doesn't seem to bother them at all they just want to get their hands in
that white fluffy fur. I also think the pyrs are good therapy dogs for other
pets too. We adopted a stray that was found in the ghettos of NY we can only
assume she was abused because of how she cowered or would potty in the floor
if someone raised their voice etc..but since we've brought her into our home
Jewel (the rescued) & maya (the pyr) have grown very attached to one another
& i've noticed with all the attention Maya gives her she's really come out
of her shell..she will actually play (well kinda) with toys now &
understands that when she takes nummies (treats) from you she doesn't have
to hide them or run away to eat them. Jewel & maya are constantly together
no matter where they are at & will actually whine if one is in a different
room than the other. It just touches my heart to see the kindness &
gentleness Maya has not only with the children, but with how she is with
Jewel. Anyways, i wanted to jump out of lurking & share my thoughts &
experience with maya & jewel *S*.
Take Care & happy holidays
Mary & the critter gang
