Cindy, I find that our guys are the same way. Tanuki is our main livestock
guardian, but while he's out in the field, and his presence is felt, he
certainly doesn't do a whole lot of barking. Kes, on the other hand, is much
more "aggressive" when it comes to guarding the yard and house. The fat man
with the pomperanian doesn't DARE come past our house :-) Zoe is also
becoming "pro-active" when it comes to guarding, and she isn't even from LGD
lines. Baron, who is from LGD lines, patols his boundries, and would really
like to be outside the boundries that David and I have set for him (like
outside the fence at the neighbor's house), but then he seems content to lay
back and let the girls keep watch. Like you said -- just like the lions.
