Shelters always appreciate gift certificates to stores where they may
purchase
food all year long.

This year, our hospital laboratory has decided to adopt our local
animal shelter ie: Humane Society as our Holiday project.  I have been
unable to get over there to find out what they need, because they are
closed by the time I get out of work, and I really don't want to wait
until Sat if possible. We are setting up collection boxes in the Lab
and Cafeteria and they will all have pix of our own dogs and cats.
Ought to be cute box....:)   I am in need of suggestions as to what
can be donated and what their needs are so I can make posters to
spread around the hospital.  Any suggestions? So far we have come up
with blankets, food for cats and dogs, treats, rubber toys.....  but
would like to add to this list!  I know there are those of you who
have had far more contact with rescue and shelters than I have so I am
appealing to you all for help.
