[PyrNet-L] Giant Breed

A dog will grow to the size it's genes dictate, no more no less. A good diet
can help with weight and coat condition. Some Pyrs are smaller than others
but the standard allows for that in the height range. Those who have bred in
the past from taller lines may have more height. Those who have bred from
not so tall lines may have less height. Does it really matter if your Pyr
who has all the breed characteristics required is 3" smaller and 20 pounds
lighter than the one down the road? If you want more height/weight then go
the Kennels who have that in their background. Strange isn't it, we first
buy these dogs as our pets and it's not until we have more contact with
others in the Breed we then realise that sometimes the only thing the dogs
have in common is that they are all Pyrs. Big, heavy, shorter, finer,
nothing will ever take way that inborn instinct to guard which is what they
were bred for.
