Cindi, does his back feet look different than the other Pyrs.? Could the
appearance of the double dew claws be what makes you think his back feet
look funny ( some people are really thrown by them ) as compared to
breeds that don't have the double dews? Judith's questions are good ones
to ask. Underground electric won't put a dent in a Pyrs. attitude about
exploration. Heck, even a good solid fence can be iffy with these guys.
Pyrs. can be wonderful with children, you would need to allow for a
transition period in moving to a new home, and building a bond. But all
youngsters should be supervised with dogs anyway, unless there is
something there that the people are not saying ( and this is where really
talking to them comes in ) Pyrs. are good with kids. Was the dog part
of the family, or a kenneled dog without much exposure? These are
questions that would help you. Cindy.
