Re: [PyrNet-L] Ivermectin
Charlotte, I hesitate to say this, least the screams start. But I and
many other folks I know with large dog households have used the
Ivermectin paste horse wormer in the tube. With Pyr. size dogs it works
out well because the weights are marked on the tube, and you dial it off.
We put it on something, in our case, little sqs. of bread dipped in sour
cream
(spoiled kids ), so it is being taken in with something else on their
stomachs. One gal I know has 23 dogs, from a Pyr. right down to a tiny
rat terrier, and does all her dogs this way. No one that I know has had
any problem, and remain heartworm free, We get the least expensive (
around $10.00 ) generic type Ivermectin, and it lasts for quite a while,
based on a 1,000 lb. horse weight tube. To a certain extent, you have to
eye it a bit as you measure it out too. I'm not sure if this will help
you with what you want to know. It has been working fine for us with
both the Pyrs. and little Su-Ling our Shih-Tzu. Let me know if you have
any other questions. Cindy.
