Janice, Bear got into pine pitch about 3 weeks ago and still has it oon him. 
  we didn't know what to do to get it off.  I thought he might just chew on 
it until it was gone but nooooooo  he has ignored it!!  Good luck.  I'm 
anxious to hear any remidies to try also.  Deanna and Bear in Colorado
