Must be a Pyr thing with the patch..I understand that Pyrs are ultra 
sensitive to any narcotic pain killers ANYWAY. When my 12 year old mix 
(non-Pyr) Sam had his surgery recently to remove a 3 lb lipoma, the Fentanyl 
patch was used.
I kept thinking it wasn't strong enough, because Sam exhibited very few 
symptoms
of being drugged. He was active and even playful! He hated the Ecollar with a 
passion and had the energy to roam around ceaselessly trying to bump or rub 
it off. Maybe a different dosage of Fentanyl should be researched 
specifically for Pyrs due to their hyper sensitivity to narcotic painkillers, 
because I think it is an effective drug in the right dosage!!!!
