Re: [PyrNet-L] Hamster Pyr?
I didn't read your post till today, and I'm still chuckling! When we had
Shelley, whom we got as an adult, she learned "leave it" very quickly when
she'd grab for some tasty morsel when we were out walking. And she was
pretty good about "drop it" if there was something she'd already picked
up. One night when we had both pyrs out for their evening walk, she
suddenly began to walk much faster, and seemed more ready than usual to
turn and head for home. When we let them into the house, and off leash,
she went to the far end of the living room, lay down with her back to us,
and we heard a "crunch." She'd picked up a small bone and managed to hide
it in her mouth for about 15 minutes, without letting us know that she had
anything. She knew she'd lose it if we discovered it. She'd gone to so
much trouble that we felt bad taking it away from her!
