[PyrNet-L] Chat, behavior: Tony helps Willow...
I noticed something very interesting today while watching Willow and
Tony at play. Willow loves her tennis ball. She doesn't retrieve but she
plays with it like a kitten, batting it around and tossing it into the
air with her mouth. She also likes it if I toss it for her so she can
sort of pursue it...well, anyway...this afternoon Willow's ball rolled
under one of the dining room chairs and she crouched on the floor and
kept pawing under the chair to get her ball...she wasn't having very
good luck. Tony, my German Shepherd Dog, noticed her attempts to get her
ball...assessed the situation...walked behind the chair, got the ball
and gave it back to Willow! Now...the Pyr was going straight for the
ball through the rungs of the chair...the GSD looked the situation over
and realized that the easiest way to get it was to go around the chair
and just pick it up! Interesting...very interesting...And, before anyone
thinks that I am picking on Pyr thinking....think again...I love Willow
to bits...I just think that this is an interesting action on the part of
each of the dogs and an interesting observation...
