[PyrNet-L] Re: Health: Ruptured cruciate ligament, update on Max
First a thank you to every one for support and suggestions in a difficult
situation. Max's family came down here as planned today, and they made the
sensible choice. They took the white male. There has been no bad feeling
between the family and me, they really wanted a blaireau puppy, because
their first pyr had markings and they liked that. But we had a long talk
about the risk involved, I offered to cover surgery in the first year up to
the purchase price, but even so they might end up with a dog that was not
100 % okay. I have no no doubt they are going to love Frosty just as much
as they would have Max.
Max continues to improve, and I am being more optimistic today. Also I have
talked to people whose puppies have had full recovery without surgery. If
things continues to improve the way they do now, I am going to take my own
vets advice and wait 2 weeks from the injury and then bring him in for new
evaluation. If he does not improve I am sure I can count on my vet to
advice me about a specialist.
Btw I am a woman. I guess it is not so easy with foreign names.
