Re: [PyrNet-L] Health: Ruptured cruciate ligament
Hi Lene,
I do hope that your puppy is doing better. We once had a young puppy
diagnosed with a knee problems from injury. Our vet did not want to
operate because he felt that the prognosis for surgery was not good when
the pup was growing so rapidly. Instead, the pup was crated in a small
crate so that he was unable to move around much for two weeks. The dog
lived to be more than 10 years old and had no trouble getting around and
no arthritus although I do not think that his rear movement was as good
as one would want for a show dog (he was not a show or breeding dog).
Kelly had some really good thoughts (don't go back to lurking Kelly)
about making sure that everything is in writing if the owners do take
the puppy.
