Re: [PyrNet-L] DogChat: Introduction (long)
Wow, what a lucky dog! I knew next to nothing about Pyrs before I got my 1st one 5 1/2 yrs
ago either. I've come to regard my Pyrs as almost sacred. I don't know how I lived the 1st
33 yrs of my life without one (or 6). I've got 4 males and 2 females and you are certainly
right when you say they're a wonderful beautiful breed.
Mine always know what's going on, where everyone in the house is, always watching us.
I've got a 5 ft chain link fence that they have never had any problem staying in, but that's
not true of all Pys (so I found out with the rescue Pyr I took in awhile back). Mine all love
the attention of being brushed also, they'll lay there and fall asleep.
I had mixes and Goldens all my life before my 1st Pyr. Pyrs are the very 1st breed of dog
I've ever known who suit me perfectly just the way they are, no need to change a thing.
Sure, they become "deaf" sometimes when you call them and they want to stay outside
just a little longer in the rain. They also bark, but what a pretty, deep sounding bark.
They're gentle, sensitive, calm and almost seem to know what you're thinking.
I'm so glad someone like you has decided to allow a Pyr into your life. I think you'll be
pleasantly surprised each and every day.
