Re: [PyrNet-L] If Pyrs were easy to train....
All of us out there training are going to agree to disagree on training
methods and philosophies. I know what works for me. Obedience
is not the only thing I'm into but it is the foundation for just about
anything else you decide to do. My interests are spread around
into water, draft, agility, tracking and obedience. So, it just
depends on who goes into what. And it's rough showing in breed
and trying to do obedience. I had to pick and choose who did what
at which show and when I did do both, newf and pyr, I came out of
one ring and co-owner was getting pyr ready for me to go into
another and was prepared to go in the breed ring for me. Always
have a backup plan. I just consider it another challenge and look
at it positively. And trying to work full time and getting 'em ready
for shows and working stuff sure don't let you have too much time
to slow down. Let's put it this way I don't get bored.
Ya'll carry on. I'm off to a training workshop with the pyr for the
weekend.
