Re: [PyrNet-L] If Pyrs were easy to train...
Cathryn,
I can only speak for myself. I dont find them any harder to teach than our
golden. In fact, Angel even has helped with our golden.
I just have to tell you this. This morning after our usual tussle on the
floor which involves growling, teeth showing and giving me cold noses, I
finally gave up and just laid back on the floor. Boith dogs darn near licked
me to death. It is such a treat to me to have such wonderful friends in my
life as they are. Its all play to them.
I can understand how some folks feel I supppose. It seems like many of them
have a dog just to have a dog. My two are 2 wonderful spirits of happiness in
a dog's body. They bring me great happiness and joy and we have a wonderful
bond. I certainly hope it continues. My heart aches for those dogs who must
obey commands for fear of reprisal. But, at least my dogs do it because they
are loved. I guess the term "Hard to train" depends on who is doing the
training. My method works for me and that's what's important to me.
Have a wonderful dayDave
