My little Chow mix is all those wonderful things-*with us*. Chows are by nature very 
selective and suspicious. I don't trust mine around strangers although with us and my 
young son she's perfectly wonderful. A Chow mix with 2 yr baggage? I'd look further, 
Janice, no sense inviting trouble :-)
