Re: [PyrNet-L] Adding to my life
I dont think the term BYB is fair. I think that very sound breeding practices
can
be performed in the home of an avid enthusiast. I think EDUCATION about the
breed and breeding practices/ethics should be a prerequisite for breeding or
adopting from a 'breeder,' not where they were bred. I think a loving,
responsible
home is an ideal place to breed and raise puppies, as long as breed specific
standard practices are maintained such as genetic research, eye/hip
certification, and temperment qualification, as well as the other important
considerations such
as spay/ neuter contracts and written guarantees.
Knowledge is one's best ally in obtaining a new puppy or adult dog.
