Re: [PyrNet-L] Feeding--the opposite problem :(

i have a related question. i have the opposite problem. i can't keep
weight off my pyrs. czar always hovered around 5 lbs. overweight and
seamus is probably 7 lbs. over. it's particularly problematic because they
say that being overweight can exacerbate his already high aggression
tendencies. we are exercising him more but he gets really tired just going
around the block. we switched his food to "light" not just for the fat but
because the reduced protein is supposed to help reduce aggression. but he
is so hungry after eating 4 1/2 cups of light food that he just mopes
around after dinner.

does anybody else serve their dogs the light lamb and rice food? how much?
seamus probably weighs around 110 or so. he mysteriously got up to 118
during the six weeks i was in spain (fiancee thought he "looked" hungry)
but we've gotten most of that off. he's a pretty small pyr by comparison
and i can't feel his ribs and he waddles when he walks.

but he's really cute...
