Re: [PyrNet-L] Feeding
Hi! My 2 year old female Tia was the same way - she would NOT eat! We
tried different kinds of dog food (IAMs, Eukanuba, Science Diet, etc.)
and tried adding "goodies" in to encourage her... nothing. She'd nibble
at it, then walk away. She was a rescue, and was very thin when we got
her, so she really needed to put some weight on! She would go for days
eating almost nothing, until she'd "spit up" from her stomach being so
empty (the vet's diagnosis). Finally, we ended up with a rough month
financially and broke down and bought the dogs Alpo (I know, it's crud),
and she LOVED it! She'll finish an entire bowl of it every time and look
for more... soooo, we asked the vet what to supplement it with, and
stuck to it - I figure crappy food is better than none at all (?!).
She's still on the lean side (been eating this way for 6 months), but
her bones don't stick out anymore, and she's bouncy! Anyway, this
probably didn't help any, but we can sympathize!
