Hi Deanna !
Actually I have wondered the same thing about Powder. She's going on 20
months now and she shows no signs of guarding except the occasional bark
while in our home or in the yard. When we go for walks, people don't faze
her at all, neither do any environmental objects. She is just thrilled if
anyone stops to pet her, whether in the yard (over the fence) or walking.
She has really not been alert at anyone....
Pep-cee is the same way, but she's only approx. 11 months, plus she showed
signs of physical abuse, so she's more leery of things or people, than she
is guarding us from them.

p.s. Pep-cee's surgery went real well, and so far, we are looking at a full
cure of her urinary problems. She had surgery last tuesday and came home
friday evening. So far at home, she's healing real well, and her spirits
are up ! We are very excited. So excited that we are actually throwing her
a party ! Complete with a bone shaped cake, champagne, and a rhinestoned
bandanna ! :) My husband's family thinks we are a little off our rockers,
but we thought it would be fun !
