For the organization we work with (Pets & People) the dog needs some basic
socialization and obedience, and is assessed by the director (an AKC
obedience judge and trainer) who just wants to see that the dog is
friendly and well socialized, and walks with you without dragging you all
over the place. To get a Th.D title with her, the dog needs to have made
25 therapy visits and have a CGC. We did puppy kind. and an obedience
class with ours.
